BR-111 Designer and Architectural Metro Flooring Series
Not only is this line very modern, the wooden boards are wide, coming in at 7-1/4 inches. It is hard to imagine a modern hardwood look with boards so wide, but the BR-111 Designer and Architectural Metro Flooring Series has accomplished just that.
Specifically, these boards are 3/4 inches thick, which leads to installation by either nails or glue. The BR-111 Designer and Architectural Metro Flooring Series is offered in three different species, with those being: Brazilian Cherry; Brazilian Teak; and Brazilian Walnut.
The finishing of the BR-111 Designer and Architectural Metro Flooring Series really makes the modern nature of this line. It has a satin finish, which corresponds very nicely with steel and brushed steel interiors, often found in loft-style buildings and other modern homes. For example, Brazilian Walnut is a durable South American hardwood that is highly rated in durability by the U.S. Forest Products Lab. It is naturally resistant to fire, having a National Fire Protection Agency Class A rating.
The Brazilian Walnut naturally resists insects, rot and mildew. Because of its durability, it is perfect for exterior residential and commercial applications such as boat docks, piers, decking, boardwalks, outdoor furniture, pool decking, foot bridges, railroad crossties, heavy construction, tool handles, turnery, industrial flooring, textile mill items, decorative veneers, and of course, flooring.
